Amazon Chargeback Rate Increase to Carton Content Accuracy

Amazon has announced an upcoming increase in chargeback fees for vendors in instances where the product quantities received don’t match the provided Advance Shipment Notification (ASN). Read more about this important Amazon Chargeback Rate Increase straight from Amazon.

According to Amazon, they have audited the costs of resolving mismatches between product quantities received in a carton and the information provided in the Advance Shipment Notification (ASN). They determined that the current Carton Content Accuracy chargeback rate is insufficient; therefore, making it necessary to increase this rate.

Chargeback Increase Details

  • This fee change is effective from September 9, 2019.
  • The existing rate is $1.00 and will increase by 50c to $1.50 per defect.
